Nominees Released for Dec. 17 King Glorious

CYPRESS, Calif. (Dec. 8, 2023) — Nominees to the $100,000-guaranteed King Glorious for Golden State Series eligibles, which will be run Sunday, Dec. 17 – the final day of the Winter Thoroughbred meet – include four last-out winners.

This will be the 10th time the King Glorious, a one-mile race restricted to 2-year-olds bred or sired in California, will be run at Los Alamitos.

The juveniles coming off wins are Halo Uncle, who defeated $50,000 maidens Nov. 10, Size Does Matter, who cashed in his debut at Golden Gate Fields Nov. 3, Stay On the Fence, who rallied to defeat seven rivals Nov. 18, and Tom Seaver, who clicked as the favorite in his debut Oct. 22 for D’Amato and owner-breeder Nick Alexander.

Other nominees to the King Glorious are Clever Clover, Gentlemen’s Club, Immelman, Last Call London, Mici’s Express, Mr. Suds and Stolen Treasure.

Entries for the King Glorious will be drawn Thursday, Dec. 14.
