NorCal Grad in Wine Country Stakes

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 9, 2015) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Lil Miss Awesome is one of five California-breds entered in Friday’s $50,000 Wine Country Debutante for 2-year-old fillies at Santa Rosa.

Lil Miss Awesome is by Awesome Gambler, out of the Classic Secret mare Missed The Cut, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Velocity Racing Stables and Charlie Zsebik and is trained by Vod Farris. The $1,000 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase has one win in four starts, earnings of $5,960 and is coming off a June 27 maiden win.

Ride the Shark is by Onebadshark, out of the Peaks and Valleys mare Jitterbug Jan, was bred by owner E-Racing.com and is trained by John Martin. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $7,910 and is coming off a July 25 maiden win.

Ourprincessmelanie is by Roi Charmant, out of the Gotham City mare King City Kitty, was bred by owner Martin Bach and is trained by William Morey. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $24,441 and is coming off a sixth in the July 4 Juan Gonzalez Memorial.

Clara’s Dream is by Drosselmeyer, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by Kevin Nish, is owned by KMN Racing and trained by Steve Sherman. She is a maiden making her third start with earnings of $8,450.

Runningforhoody is by Globalize, out of the Gold Market mare Marketable, was bred by Litt Family Horse Trust & KMN Racing, is owned by McLean Racing Stables and Darren Dent and is trained by Aggie Ordonez. She won her lone start July 16 with earnings of $19,500.
