SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Jan. 5, 2023) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Brave Cinderella and fellow California-bred Respect the Ride are entered in Sunday’s $65,000 Bold Ego Stakes for fillies and mares at Sunland Park.
Respect the Ride is by Boat Trip, out of the In Excess mare Zoe’s Baba, was bred by Mike & Megan Stiehr and is owned by trainer Vilma De La Cruz. She is a maiden making her fifth start with earnings of $4,610.
Cinderella is by Brave Cat, out of the Liberty Gold mare Cinderella Liberty, was bred by Beorge & Mary Clare Schmitt, is owned by Amanda Sweeten & Blanca Verela and is trained by Andres Gonzalez. The $1,400 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has four wins in 19 starts, earnings of $98,726 and is coming off a fourth in a Dec. 6 optional claimer.
