NorCal Sale Grad in KLAQ Handicap

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Dec. 23, 2018) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Minister of Soul and fellow California-breds Hardcore Troubador and Dontpreachto Darcy are entered in Saturday’s $65,000 KLAQ Handicap at Sunland Park.

Minister of Soul is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farms and is owned by trainer Esteban Martinez. The $16,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $61,525 and is coming off a win in the Nov. 10 Luke Kruytbosch Stakes.

Hardcore Troubador is by Roi Charmant, out of the Good Journey mare Farallon, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises and is owned by Edward Freeman. He has three wins in 14 starts, earnings of $137,735 and is coming off a fourth in a Dec. 14 allowance.

Dontpreachto Darcy is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Millennium Wind mare Dar C. Alltheway, was bred by Steve Keh, is owned by James and Jackie Ashcroft and is trained by Sherry Armstrong. He has nine wins in 44 starts, earnings of $115,439 and is coming off a Dec. 19 allowance win.
