HOBBS, N.M. (Nov. 21, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner Minister of Soul and fellow California-bred Prayer of Jabez are entered in Tuesday’s $100,000 Zia Park Sprint.
Minister of Soul is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farms and is owned by trainer Esteban Martinez. The $16,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has 17 wins in 60 starts, earnings of $536,402 and is coming off a fifth in an Oct. 27 allowance.
Prayer of Jabez is by Stanford, out of the Kafwain mare Alwazabridesmaid, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by Anthony DeMarco and trained by Edward Kerelik. He has five wins in 23 starts, earnings of $148,226 and is coming off an Oct. 27 allowance win.
