NorCal Sale Grad Oliver in Cary Grant

DEL MAR, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2019) – Stakes-winning Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Oliver is entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Cary Grant Stakes for Golden State Series eligibles at Del Mar.

Ultimate Bango is by Uh Oh Bango, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Ultimate Summer, was bred by Mitchell Dutko & Bob Abrams, is owned by Abrams, Dutko or Paran and is trained by Blake Heap. He has four wins in 13 starts, earnings of $222,245 and is coming off a win in an Oct. 24 optional claimer.

Grinning Tiger is an Oregon-bred by California stallion Smiling Tiger, out of the Pioneering mare Karlee’s Kitten, was bred by Patrick Cosgrove, is owned by Tyree Wolesensky and is trained by Anthony Saavedra. He has seven wins in 22 starts, earnings of $130,801 and is coming off a second in the Oct. 19 California Flag.

Fashionably Fast is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Forestry mare Fall Fashion, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Harris Farms, Antonsen or Nicoletti and is trained by Dean Pederson. He has four wins in 13 starts, earnings of $242,745 and is coming off three consecutive wins, the most recent in the Oct. 5 Harris Farms Stakes.

Shades of Victory is by Thorn Song, out of the Street Sense mare Sensible Girl, was bred by C-Punch Ranch and is owned by trainer Reed Saldana. He has five wins in 28 starts, earnings of $154,698 and is coming off a fifth in a Nov. 9 optional claimer.

Oliver is by Papa Clem, out of the Premiership mare Snobby Princess, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by William Peeples and is trained by Doug O’Neill. The $30,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $230,101 and is coming off a fifth in the Oct. 27 Comma to the Top.

Rick’s Dream is by Coil, out of the Decarchy mare Cantina’s Rose, was bred by B&B Zietz Stables, is owned by Big Iron Racing and trained by Reed Saldana. He has five wins in 20 starts, earnings of $120,122 and is coming off a 13th in a Nov. 1 optional claimer.
