OZONE PARK, N.Y. (Nov. 2, 2023) – Graded stakes-winning Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Yo Yo Candy is one of five entered in Sunday’s $150,000 Nashua Stakes for 2-year-olds at Aqueduct.
Yo Yo Candy is by Danzing Candy, out of the Two Punch mare Yolanda B. Too, was bred by Checkmate Thoroughbreds, is owned by Happy Tenth Stable and is trained by Daniel Velazquez.
The $6,000 purchase out of the Checkmate Thoroughbreds consignment has two wins in four starts, earnings of $143,050 and is coming off a 10th in the Sept. 4 Grade I Hopeful.
