SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Mar. 19, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner One in Vermillion is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $600,000 Grade III Sunland Park Derby for 3-year-olds.
One in Vermillion is by Army Mule, out of the Any Given Saturday mare Given Star, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Jonathan Kalman and trained by Esteban Martinez.
He has three wins in four starts, earnings of $149,620 and is coming off a win in the Jan. 29 Riley Allison Derby.
