ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 5, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner One in Vermillion is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $750,000 Grade I Santa Anita Derby for 3-year-olds.
One in Vermillion is by Army Mule, out of the Any Given Saturday mare Given Star, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Jonathan Kalman and trained by J. Eric Kruljac.
He has three wins in five starts, earnings of $167,440 and is coming off a fifth in the Mar. 26 Sunland Park Derby.
