SARATOGA, N.Y. (Aug. 23, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner One in Vermillion is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $500,000 Grade I H. Allen Jerkins Memorial Stakes for 3-year-olds at Saratoga.
One in Vermillion is by Army Mule, out of the Any Given Saturday mare Given Star, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Jonathan Kalman and trained by Esteban Martinez.
He has five wins in 11 starts, earnings of $378,840 and is coming off a third in the Aug. 6 West Virginia Derby.
