SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Apr. 7, 2024) — California-bred Only One America cruised to a 5 1/2-length win over Deviletta in Sunday’s $125,000 Island Fashion Stakes for 3-year-old fillies ar Sunland Park.
Only One America ($12.40) set the pace in her two-turn debut, putting up fractions of 24.66 seconds for the opening quarter, 49.79 for the half-mile, and 1:14.34 for six furlongs before going on to cover the mile for 3-year-olds fillies in 1:38.23.
Todd Fincher trains Only One America for her breeders, J. Kirk and Judy Robison. Only One America is a daughter of Marking and out of the mare That’s the Ideal, who also produced five-time stakes winner Competitive Idea.
