FLORENCE, Ky. (Jan. 28, 2023) – Tommy Town Thoroughbreds’ homebred Opening Buzz, a graduate of the Northern California Yearling Sale, won Saturday’s $97,852 Wishing Well Stakes at Turfway Park.
Opening Buzz is by Stanford, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Open Mic and was trained by Jonathan Wong.
Opening Buzz has four wins in six starts, earnings of $152,585 and was coming off a Dec. 1 allowance win. She ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.65 and won by one length, paying $5.54 for a $2 win bet as the second choice in a field of 11.
