ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2014) – Stakes winner Patriots Rule and fellow California-bred Ashleyluvssugar are entered in Friday’s $150,000 Grade II Twilight Derby for 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.
Patriots Rule is by Tribal Rule, out of the Seattle Bound mare Candy Factory, was bred by Dahlberg Farms, is owned by Charles Garvey and trained by Robertino Diodoro. He has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $231,920 and is coming off a win in an Oct. 2 optional claimer.
Ashleyluvssugar is by Game Plan, out of the Urgent Request mare Ashley’s Folly, was bred by owners Estate of Alesia, BranJam Stables and Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton. He has two wins in six starts, earnings of $123,214 and is coming off a fourth in an Oct. 2 optional claimer.
