Pete Fer, Longtime CTBA Member, Passes

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 21, 2018) – Pete Fer, longtime member of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association, recently passed away.

Fer bred and owned Cal-bred stakes horses Uncaged Fury (winner of the 1994 California Cup Sprint), Caballo De Oro, John’s Clue and Mystery’s Edge. Notable trainers who worked with Fer were John Canty, Humberto Ascanio, Louie Cenicola and Ron Ellis.

Fer owned a heating, plumbing and air conditioning company in the South Bay.
