GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. (May 23, 2022) – Popular Kid is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $400,000 Grade III Steve Sexton Mile Stakes at Lone Star Park.
Popular Kid is by Popular, out of the Lemon Drop Kid mare Lemon Supreme, was bred by Rod and Lorraine Rodriquez, is owned by George Sharp and trained by Shawn Davis.
He has 15 wins in 65 starts, earnings of $671,514 and is coming off a second in an Apr. 30 allowance.
