AUBURN, Wash. (Aug. 9, 2023) – Royal Halo is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Muckleshoot Derby for 3-year-olds at Emerald Downs.
Royal Halo is by Curlin to Mischief, out of the Good Reward mare Sunpenny, was bred by Z Thoroughbred Racing, is owned by Steve Zerda and trained by Frank Lucarelli.
He has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $86,460 and is coming off a fourth in the July 16 Irish Day.
