ARCADIA, Calif. (Aug. 30, 2018) — Santa Anita’s 22-day 2018 Autumn Meet includes four lucrative stakes exclusively written for Golden State Series-eligible California-breds and California-sireds.
Two of the stakes will be run at a distance new to Santa Anita, five furlongs on turf. They are the $100,000 California Distaff, for California-bred or sired fillies and mares, on Oct. 13 and the $100,000 California Flag, for California-bred or sired 3-year-olds and up, on Oct. 20.
Two-year-olds will get their shot at riches in the $200,000 Golden State Juvenile Fillies on Nov. 2 and the $200,000 Golden State Juvenile on Nov. 3.
