HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (Mar. 25, 2023) – California-bred Sassy Nature led all the way to win Saturday’s $100,000 Melody of Colors Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Gulfstream Park.
Sassy Nature is by Straight Fire, out of the After Market mare Renee’s Queen, was bred by Straight Fire LLC, is owned by CTR Stables and trained by Jack Sisterson.
The even-money favorite in a field of 10, Sassy Nature has three wins in five starts, earnings of $151,440 and was coming off a Mar. 1 optional claiming win. She ran the five furlongs on turf in :55.50 and won by 2 ¼ lengths.
