Shaman Ghost’s First Foals are Cal-breds

Two reported foals by Shaman Ghost, a filly and a colt, arrived in late January, the first at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and the second at Woodbridge Farm.

Joanne Batchelor said that the Batchelor Family Trust’s Daddy’s Duo foaled a Shaman Ghost filly at Tommy Town Jan. 19. Daddy’s Duo is a winning daughter of Scat Daddy—Marque Gal, by Sir Cat.

The Shaman Ghost colt arrived Jan. 26 at Woodbridge and is out of BKB Stables’ Chrome Princess. A daughter of Munnings, Chrome Princess is from the family of multiple black-type producer Purity.

Shaman Ghost, an Adena Springs homebred, won the Queen’s Plate Stakes and then added the Woodward Stakes (G1), Santa Anita Handicap Presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino (G1), and three other graded stakes. The son of Ghostzapper—Getback Time, by Gilded Time, was runner-up in the inaugural Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) and was third in the Clark Handicap (G1). He earned a total of $3,859,311.

In 2018, Shaman Ghost stood in California at Tom and Debi Stull’s Tommy Town and at Terry Lovingier’s Lovacres Ranch. The stallion was relocated to Adena Springs Kentucky for the 2019 breeding season.
