ELMONT, N.Y. (June 6, 2023) – Multiple graded stakes winner Slow Down Andy is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $1 million Hill ‘N’ Dale Metropolitan Handicap at Belmont Park.
Slow Down Andy is by Nyquist, out of the Square Eddie mare Edwina E, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill.
He has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $909,100 and is making his first start since a third in the Nov. 5, Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
The Metropolitan is a “Win and You’re In” for the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
