DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 17, 2018) – Millionaire Soi Phet and fellow California-bred stakes winner Grecian Fire are entered in Wednesday’s $75,000 Harry F. Brubaker Stakes at Del Mar.
Soi Phet is by Tizbud, out of the Siberian Summer mare Summer Jersey, was bred by ARCHA Racing, is owned by Benowitz Family Trust, Powell or Viskovich and is trained by Leonard Powell. He has 15 wins in 59 starts, earnings of $1,015,250 and is coming off a win in the July 4 Bertrando Stakes. He was third in this race last year and won the race in 2016.
Grecian Fire is by Unusual Heat, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has three wins in 17 starts, earnings of $190,892 and is coming off a second in the July 28 California Dreamin’.
