Solid Wager Back in Town for San Carlos

ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 27, 2019) – California-bred stakes winners Solid Wager and Touching Rainbows are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II San Carlos Stakes at Santa Anita.

Touching Rainbows is by Aragorn, out of the Gold Case mare Violin Case, was bred by Esembee Inc., is owned by Slam Dunk Racing, KM Racing or Madaket Stables and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has seven wins in 18 starts, earnings of $375,382 and is coming off a win in the Jan. 26 California Cup Sprint. He was seventh in this race last year.

Solid Wager is by Birdonthewire, out of the Valid Wager mare G Ma, was bred by Madera Thoroughbreds, is owned by Barber, Barber or Stanford Stable and is trained by Peter Miller. He has 11 wins in 50 starts, earnings of $820,935 and is coming off a second in a Feb. 7 optional claimer after winning the Tobaggan.
