Stakes-winning Cal-bred Trio in Eddie D

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2019) – California-bred stakes winners Eddie Haskell, Pee Wee Reese and Tribalist are entered in Friday’s $200,000 Grade II Eddie D Stakes at Santa Anita.

Grade III winner Eddie Haskell is by Square Eddie, out of the Boston Harbor mare Teresa Ann, was bred by Reddam Racing, is owned by Hailey or Wood and is trained by Mark Glatt. He has 10 wins in 23 starts, earnings of $587,707 and is coming off a second in the Aug. 17 Green Flash.

Grade III winner Pee Wee Reese is by Tribal Rule, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Bluegrass Belle, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has seven wins in 14 starts, earnings of $412,901 and is making his first start since winning the Mar. 31 Sensational Star.

Tribalist is by Tribal Rule, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Ultimate Summer, was bred by Dutko & Abrams, is owned by Abrams, Dutko or Paran and is trained by Blake Heap. He has four wins in 12 starts, earnings of $290,915 and is coming off a second in a July 24 optional claimer. He was second in this race in 2017.
