Stakes-winning Pair in Real Good Deal

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 24, 2019) – Stakes winners  Cruel Intention and Lieutenant Dan are entered in Saturday’s $150,000 Real Good Deal Stakes for Golden State Series-eligible 3-year-olds at Del Mar.

Lieutenant Dan is by Grazen, out of the Indian Charlie mare Excusabull, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Steve Miyadi. He has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $218,520 and is coming off a third in the June 22 Snow Chief.

Cruel Intention is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Pleasantly Perfect mare Perfect Feat, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by LNJ Foxwoods, Jungle Racing or Nexus Racing Club and is trained by Bob Baffert. He has two wins in three starts, earnings of $145,226 and is coming off a fourth in a June 22 optional claimer.

Prodigal Son is by Square Eddie, out of the In Excess mare Stretchinthelimits, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has two wins in seven starts, earnings of $86,742 and is coming off a July 13 optional claimer win.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Oliver is by Papa Clem, out of the Premiership mare Snobby Princess, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by William Peeples and trained by Doug O’Neill. The $30,000 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase has two wins in 10 starts, earnings of $119,551 and is coming off a sixth in the June 22 Snow Chief.

Posterize is by Shackleford, out of the Vindication mare Southern Oaks, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Seltzer Thoroughbreds and trained by Ian Kruljac. He has two wins in seven starts, earnings of $115,200 and is coming off a June 22 optional claiming win.
