ARCADIA, Calif. (June 26, 2014) – Starspangled Heat is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $200,000 Grade II San Juan Capistrano Stakes at Santa Anita.
Starspangled Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Runaway Groom mare Bel Air Belle, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, David Abrams & Vincenzo Loverso, is owned by Barry Abrams, Auerbach and Loverso and is trained by Barry Abrams.
He has five wins in 32 starts, earnings of $385,987 and is coming off a sixth in the June 14 Albany Stakes.
