Stealthediamonds Takes on the Boys

ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 20, 2020) – Stealthediamonds, a filly stakes winner since being claimed for $80,000 takes on the boys in Sunday’s $100,000 Sensational Star Stakes for Golden State Series eligibles at Santa Anita.

Grinning Tiger is an Oregon-bred by California stallion Smiling Tiger, out of the Pioneering mare Karlee’s Kitten, was bred by Patrick Cosgrove, is owned by Tyree Wolesensky and trained by Anthony Saavedra. A multiple stakes winner in Oregon, he has seven wins in 25 starts, earnings of $149,301 and is coming off a fourth in the Jan. 25 Palos Verdes.

Wound Tight is by Coil, out of the Mr. Broad Blade mare Bellsblade, was bred by owner Matt Nelson and is trained by Robert Hess, Jr. Winner of the Unusual Heat Turf Classic Stakes, presented by City National Bank has four wins in 11 starts, earnings of $275,544 and is coming off a third in a Feb. 29 optional claimer.

Brandothebartender is by Tribal Rule, out of the Stravinsky mare Frysland, was bred by John Haagsma & Wesley Ward, is owned by Flawless Racing, Flanagan or Jarvis and trained by Craig Dollase. He has six wins in 31 starts, earnings of $431,992 and is coming off a second in a Feb. 23 optional claimer. He was fifth in this race in 2018 and third last year.

Graded winner Just Grazed Me is a mare by Grazen, out of the Cuvee mare Fairway Road, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has six wins in 11 starts, earnings of $424,332 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 18 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf Sprint.
