Summer Hit Wins Silky Sullivan

summerhitjunALBANY, Calif. (June 9, 2012) – Summer Hit led all the way and won Saturday’s $100,000 Silky Sullivan Stakes for 3-year-olds eligible for the Golden State Series program at Golden Gate.

Summer Hit is by Bertrando, out of the Tough Knight mare Mia F Eighteen, was bred by Kenneth and Janice Heidt, is owned by John Carver and Jerry Hollendorfer and trained by Hollendorfer.

He has four wins in six starts, earnings of $103,747 and was coming off a May 13 starter’s allowance win.

Summer Hit ran the mile on turf in 1:36.40 and won by a neck over Stoney Fleece with Pepnic third.
