Sunday Rules Seeks Spring Fever Repeat

ARCADIA, Calif. (July 1, 2016) – Sunday Rules is back to defend her title in Monday’s $100,000 Spring Fever Handicap for Golden State Series eligible fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Lost Bus is by Bring the Heat, out of the Stravinsky mare Frysland, was bred by John Haagsma and Wesley Ward, is owned by Terry Lovingier and trained by Gary Sherlock. She has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $350,818 and is coming off a fourth in the June 4 Vanity Mile.

Sunday Rules is by Tribal Rule, out of the General Meeting mare Sunday Dress, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has eight wins in 10 starts, earnings of $535,840 and is coming off a ninth in the Apr. 9 Madison. She won this race last year.

Sidepocket Run is by Unbridled Native, out of the Exclusive Ribot mare On the Snap, was bred by owner Tony Sardo and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She has three wins in 30 starts, earnings of $201,646 and is coming off a June 16 optional claiming win. She was second in this race last year.

Harlington’s Rose is by Harlington, out of the Orientate mare A Rose for You, was bred by Y-Lo Racing Stables, is owned by Halasz, Johnson or Newhart and trained by Steve Knapp.She has four wins in 30 starts, earnings of $397,368 and is coming off a third in a May 19 optional claimer. She was fifth in this race last year.

Codacious is by Desert Code, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Tea Cakes, was bred by owners Eric & Sharon Waller and is trained by Cliff Sise. She has three wins in 12 starts, earnings of $154,143 and is coming off a sixth in a Feb. 11 optional claimer.
