Swiss Lake Yodeler Wins Golden State Juvenile Fillies

ARCADIA, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2013) – Swiss Lake Yodeler gradually pulled away from Moving Desert to win Friday’s $200,000 Golden State Juvenile Fillies for 2-year-old Golden State Series eligible fillies on the Breeders’ Cup card at Santa Anita.

Swiss Lake Yodeler is by Swiss Yodeler, out of the Meadowlake mare Domasco Lake, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams, is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer and was ridden by Julien Leparoux.

“My horse ran great,” said Leparoux. “She put me in the right position right away because it’s a speed-favoring track today. We knew she would put me on the lead or close to the pace and we were happy about that because of the way the track is playing. My horse just kept on going at the end and I’m glad I won the race.”

Swiss Lake Yodeler has two wins in three starts, earnings of $125,600 and was coming off a second in an Oct. 6 starter’s allowance.

Swiss Lake Yodeler ran the mile in 1:37.58 and won by two lengths at odds of 8-1. Moving Desert was second and Rovenna was third in the field of 10.
