And There They Go in Joe Hernandez Stakes

ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2019) – Stakes winner Tribalist and fellow California-bred Carnivorous are entered in Wednesday’s $200,000 Grade II Joe Hernandez Stakes at Santa Anita.

Tribalist is by Tribal Rule, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Ultimate Summer, was bred by Dutko & Abrams, is owned by Dutko, Abrams or Paran and is trained by Blake Heap. He has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $296,915 and is coming off a fifth in the Oct. 19 California Flag. He as fifth in this race last year.

Carnivorous is by Square Eddie, out of the Momentum mare Charred Rare, was bred by Reddam Racing, is owned by Thomsen Racing and is trained by Steve Knapp. He has five wins in 13 starts, earnings of $250,409 and is coming off an optional allowing win on Oct. 18.
