ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 26, 2014) – California-breds Unusual Hottie and Journey On are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 American Beauty Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Unusual Hottie is by Unusual Heat, out of the Ski Champ mare Branco Como Neve, was bred by owner Ali Nilforushan and is trained by Jeff Mullins. She has seven wins in 19 starts, earnings of $397,528 and is coming off an eighth in the Feb. 17 Buena Vista Stakes.
Journey On is by Good Journey, out of the American Chance mare Miss Del Mar, was bred by Leatherman Racing, is owned by Neil Haymes and Robert Master and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has four wins in nine starts, earnings of $154,660 and is coming off a third in a Feb. 16 optional claimer.
