Warren’s Amber Rallies in Evening Jewel

warrensambermar31ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 31, 2012) – Warren’s Amber rallied through the stretch to win Saturday’s $200,000 Evening Jewel Stakes for California-bred 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Warren’s Amber is by Broadway Moon, out of the Mud Route mare I’m a Cat’s Meow, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren and trained by Jorge Gutierrez.

She has two wins in seven starts, earnings of $155,550 and was coming off a third in a Feb. 23 starter’s allowance.

Warren’s Amber ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:15.97 and won by three-quarters of a length at odds of 11-1. Starlight Magic was second and River Kiss third in the field of 11.
