OZONE PARK, N.Y. (Apr. 3, 2024) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate and graded winner Yo Yo Candy is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $150,000 Bay Shore Stakes for 3-year-olds at Aqueduct.
Yo Yo Candy is by Danzing Candy, out of the Two Punch mare Yolanda B. Too, was bred by Checkmate Thoroughbreds, is owned by Happy Tenth Stable and trained by Daniel Velazquez.
The $6,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale, consigned by breeder Checkmate Thoroughbreds, has two wins in five starts, earnings of $149,050 and is making his first start since a fifth in the Nov. 5 Nashua.
