DEL MAR, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2022) – Friday’s $125,000 I’m Smokin Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 2-year-olds at Del Mar has drawn a field of eight, including first-time starter Moon Ice, who will be ridden by Flavian Prat.

Kangaroo Court is by Dads Caps, out of the Hard Spun mare Bonus Spin, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by George Sharpe and trained by Tim Yakteen, He has one win in two starts, earnings of $64,000 and is coming off an Aug. 20 maiden win.

Moon Ice is by He Be Fire N Ice, out of the Offlee Wild mare Wild Phoebe, was bred by owner Cicero Farm and is trained by John Sadler. He is making his debut.

Hacking It Up is by Nyquist, out of the Square Eddie mare Hacktivism, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $63,540 and is coming off a fourth in the Aug. 12 Graduation.

Amigo G A is by I’ll Have Another, out of the Square Eddie mare Kuva, was bred by Reddam Racing, is owned by Gregorio Aguilar and Hugo Garces and is trained by Rolando Quinonez. He won his lone start Aug. 27 with earnings of $25,200.
