$60,000 Alphabet Kisses Stakes WARREN’S VENEDA

WarrensVenedaINGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 27, 2013) – Warren’s Veneda rallied along the rail in late stretch to win Saturday’s $60,000 Alphabet Kisses Stakes for California-bred maiden fillies and mares, the final race on the Gold Rush XIV card at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Warren’s Veneda is by Affirmative, out of the Flying Continental mare More Cal Bread, was bred by owner Benjamin Warren, is trained by Craig Lewis and was ridden by Tyler Baze, who had three wins on the card.

She has one win in two starts, earnings of $37,120 and was coming off a fifth in an Apr. 14 maiden special weight.

Warren’s Veneda ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:18.52 at odds of 8-1. Lakeside Bride was second and Mia Lady third in the field of 13.
