Acclimate Seeks Another Graded Win

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2019) – Multiple graded winner Acclimate, graded winner Grecian Fire and fellow California-bred The Street Fighter are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II John Henry Turf Championship at Santa Anita.

Acclimate is by Acclamation, out of the Boundary mare Know No Bounds, was bred by Old English Rancho, Sal Berumen & Patsy Berumen, is owned by The Ellwood Johnston Trust or Timmy Time Racing and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has six wins in 16 starts, earnings of $325,872 and is coming off a win in the Aug. 17 Del Mar Handicap.

Grecian Fire is by Unusual Heat, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by J.K. Desormeaux. He has six wins in 26 starts, earnings of $408,202 and is coming off a third in the Aug. 18 Del Mar Mile.

The Street Fighter is by Street Boss, out of the Alphabet Soup mare Silver Swallow, was bred by Bruce Headley & Andrew Molasky and is owned by trainer Bruce Headley. He has two wins in 14 starts, earnings of $156,261 and is coming off a second in the July 26 California Dreamin’.
