Cal-bred Quartet in Unzip Me Stakes

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2019) – Graded winner Apache Princess and fellow California-breds Don’t Sell, Fantasy Heat and Stealthediamonds are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Unzip Me Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Apache Princess is by Unusual Heat, out of the Indian Charlie mare Puskita, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by J.K. Desormeaux. She has three wins in 11 starts, earnings of $230,662 and is coming off an 11th in the Aug. 17 Del Mar Oaks.

Don’t Sell is by Square Eddie, out of the In Excess mare Too Much Excess, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $174,260 and is coming off a second in the Aug. 9 Solana Beach.

Fantasy Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Broken Vow mare Assure, was bred by Paula Capestro Bloodstock & Woodbridge Farm, is owned by Drummond, Riso or Schwartz, et al and is trained by Mark Glatt. She has three wins in five starts, earnings of $135,351 and is coming off consecutive optional claiming wins.

Stealthediamonds is by Unusual Heat, out of the Pure Prize mare No Better Terms, was bred by KMN Racing, is owned by Madden Racing or Nentwig and is trained by Jonathan Wong. She has four wins in 13 starts, earnings of $146,969 and is coming off a Sept. 7 allowance win.
