DEL MAR, Calif. (July 18, 2019) – California stakes winners Apache Princess and Mucho Unusual are entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II San Clemente Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Del Mar.
Apache Princess is by Unusual Heat, out of the Indian Charlie mare Puskita, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by J. K. Desormeaux. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $190,311 and is coming off a third in the Apr. 28 Campanile.
Mucho Unusual is by Mucho Macho Man, out of the Unusual Heat mare Not Unusual, was bred by owner George Krikorian and is trained by Tim Yakteen. She has three wins in six starts, earnings of $252,680 and is coming off a June 16 optional claimer.
