ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2023) – Stakes winner Bally’s Charm and fellow California-bred Shortman are entered in Saturday’s $80,000 Lure Stakes at Santa Anita.
Bally’s Charm is by Roi Charmant, out of the Arch mare Ballydonnell Drive, was bred by owners Red Baron’s Barn & Vaya Con Suerte and is trained by Jeff Mullins. He has five wins in 10 starts, earnings of $315,500 and is coming off an Oct. 1 optional claiming win.
Shortman is by Prince of Love, out of the Smarty Jones mare Shorty Jones, was bred by Sergio Zepeda, is owned by Zepeda Racing and trained by Salvador Naranjo. He has four wins in 23 starts, earnings of $180,414 and is coming off a third in the Sept. 16 E.B. Johnston Stakes.
