CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2021) – Multiple stakes winner Big Sweep and fellow California-bred Harper’s Gallop are entered in Sunday’s $75,000 Dark Mirage Stakes for fillies and mares at Los Alamitos.
Big Sweep is by Mr. Big, out of the City Zip mare Misszippityslewda, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by Red Baron’s Barn or Rancho Temescal and is trained by Mark Glatt. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $255,806 and is coming off a third in an Aug. 29 optional claimer.
Harper’s Gallop is by Suances, out of the Broken Vow mare Dypsy, was bred by owners Red Baron’s Barn or Vaya Con Suerte and is trained by Leonard Powell. She has five wins in 15 starts, earnings of $169,715 and is coming off a third in the Aug. 27 Tranquility Lake.
