Bridleuptothebar Seeks Consecutive Stakes

AUBURN, Wash. (July 19, 2023) – Stakes winner Bridleuptothebar and fellow California-breds Polacco, Smiling Goodbye and A Man’s Man are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Governor’s Stakes at Emerald Downs.

Bridleuptothebar is by Fullbridled, out of the Thisnearlywasmine mare Nearlycocktailtime, was bred by Mark Rydman & Holly Rydman, is owned by Holly Rydman and is trained by Niccolo Troiani. He has five wins in nine starts, earnings of $91,189 and is coming off a win in the June 25 Budweiser Stakes.

Polacco is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the More Than Ready mare Penny N Mitzi, was bred by Michael Jawl, is owned by Carter James and trainer Jillian Soranno. He has six wins in 14 starts, earnings of $61,196 and is coming off a fourth in a July 2 optional claimer.

Smiling Goodbye is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Muqtarib mare Quickly Gone, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Little Barn Racing and trained by Debby Peery. He has three wins in 14 starts, earnings of $86,845 and is coming off a seventh in the June 25 Budweiser Stakes.

A Man’s Man is by Mucho Macho Man, out of the City Zip mare Longing, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Remmah Racing and trained by Jorge Rosales. He has eight wins in 20 starts, earnings of $230,678 and is coming off a ninth in the June 25 Budweiser Stakes.
