OCEANPORT, N.J. (July 19, 2023) – Fowler Blue, fresh off a record-setting performance at Ellis Park, is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $400,000 Grade III Monmouth Cup Stakes at Monmouth Park.
Fowler Blue is by Curlin to Mischief, out of the Unusual Heat mare Roses for Joni, was bred by William Branch & Arnold Hill, is owned by Branch and trained by Doug O’Neill.
He has three wins in 15 starts, earnings of $159,249 and is coming off a win in an allowance that set a track record of 2:15.70 for 1 3/8 miles on a muddy dirt track.
