WINNIPEG, Manitoba (June 25, 2023) — Big Stretch is the lone California-bred entered in Tuesday’s $50,000 La Verendrye Stakes for fillies and mares at Assiniboia Downs.
Big Stretch is by Mr. Big, out of the Curlin mare Baby Zito, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by A2 Thoroughbreds and trained by Michael Nault.
She has three wins in 27 starts, earnings of $140,765 and is coming off a second in a June 13 optional claimer. She was fifth in this race last year.
