WINNIPEG, Manitoba (June 25, 2023) – Multiple stakes winner Tiger Dad and fellow California-bred Magic Tiger are entered in Wednesday’s $50,000 Free Press Stakes at Assiniboia Downs.
Tiger Dad is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Unusual Heat mare Q T Shea, was bred by Mark Devereaux, Scott Gross & Mark Gross, is owned by Rosette Ranch and trained by Robertino Diodoro. He has seven wins in 38 starts, earnings of $490,054 and is coming off a fourth in the June 9 Ed Skinner.
Magic Tiger is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Lucky Pulpit mare Funny Gal, was bred by Robert Heinz and Michelle Machado, is owned by Wind Dancer Stable & Bill Meikle and trained by Wendy Anderson. He has nine wins in 25 starts, earnings of $103,626 and is coming off back-to-back optional claiming wins.
