Cal-bred Pair Enters Gold Rush Futurity

AURORA, Co. (Sept. 4, 2023) – California-breds Lite Ranchin Kid and Big Moonie are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Gold Rush Futurity for 2-year-olds at Arapahoe Park.

Lite Ranchin Kid is by Lemon Drop Kid out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Lorelei’s Song, was bred by owner Regan Wright and is trained by Rafael Barraza. He won his lone start Aug. 19 with earnings of $5,820.

Big Moonie is by Cat Burglar, out of the Square Eddie mare Moonie, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Roberto Baeza and is trained by Candelario Villamar. He is a maiden making his fourth start with earnings of $2,355 and is coming off a fourth in a July 16 maiden race.
