DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 14, 2019) – California-bred stakes winners Marckie’s Water and Acclimate are entered in Saturday’s $250,000 Grade II Del Mar Handicap.
Marckie’s Water is by Tribal Rule, out of the Stravinsky mare Russian River, was bred by Frank Mermenstein & Tom McCrocklin, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing or Taveras and is trained by Richard Baltas. He has six wins in 19 starts, earnings of $516,683 and is coming off a second in the July 21 Eddie Read.
Acclimate is by Acclamation, out of the Boundary mare Knows No Bounds, was bred by Old English Ranch, Sal Berumen & Patsy Berumen, is owned by The Ellwood Johnston Trust or Timmy Time Racing and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has five wins in 15 starts, earnings of $175,872 and is coming off an 11th in the July 26 California Dreamin’.
