Mucho Unusual, Apache Princess in Oaks

DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 14, 2019) – California-bred stakes winners Mucho Unusual and Apache Princess, 1-2 finishers in the San Clemente Stakes, are entered in Saturday’s $300,000 Grade I Del Mar Oaks presented by The Jockey Club for 3-year-old fillies.

Apache Princess is by Unusual Heat, out of the Indian Charlie mare Puskita, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by J.K. Desormeaux. She has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $230,311 and is coming off a second in the July 20 San Clemente Stakes.

Mucho Unusual is by Mucho Macho Man, out of the Unusual Heat mare Not Unusual, was bred by owner George Krikorian and is trained by Tim Yakteen. She has four wins in seven starts, earnings of $372,680 and is coming off three consecutive wins.
