Cal-bred Pair Tangle in Pleasanton Mile

PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 6, 2023) – California-bred stakes winners American Farmer and Royal ‘n Rando are entered in Sunday’s $150,000 Pleasanton Mile at the Alameda County Fair.

American Farmer is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Quiet American mare Farmers Wife, was bred by BKB Stables and is owned by BKB Stables and trainer Steve Sherman. He has six wins in 36 starts, earnings of $338,390 and is coming off a second in the May 29 All American Stakes.

Royal ‘n Rando is an also-eligible by Tamarando, out of the Grand Slam mare Royal Grand Slam, was bred by owners Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steven Specht. He has six wins in 19 starts, earnings of $202,094 and is coming off a seventh in the May 29 All American Stakes.
