OCALA, Fla. (Mar. 17, 2020) – A California-bred pinhooked colt by Run Away and Hide sold for $170,000 at Tuesday’s session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale.
Chiran, out of the Cal-bred Officer mare Officer Allie, was bred by Jack Owens and Barbara Owens, consigned by Havens Bloodstock, Agent, and was purchased by Hideyuki Mori.
The colt was timed in :09.4 in a one-eighth mile breeze. He was purchased for $40,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton California Fall Yearlings Sale.
