OCEANPORT, N.J. (July 28, 2023) – Ship Cadet is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Tyro Stakes for 2-year-olds at Monmouth Park.
Ship Cadet is by Midshipman, out of the Harbor the Gold mare Bella Mia, was bred by Mr. & Mrs. William Griffin, is owned by Paradise Farms Corp., David Staudacher, Kevin Haynes and John Huber and is trained by Michael Maker.
He has one win in two starts, earnings of $79,500 and is coming off a second in the June 11 Tremont Stakes.
